Why a privacy
policy?
The Lady Margaret Hall Settlement is committed to privacy
for everyone who accesses our site. The Data Protection
Acts of 1984 and 1998 enforce compliance with certain
regulations that are designed to ensure that any data
provided to us is processed with due care and attention.
What sort of data do we collect?
The Lady Margaret Hall Settlement collects very little
data about its users. For statistical purposes, we
keep records of the technical configurations of the
browsers that access the site. We also collect email
addresses given voluntarily for our email list.
Why do we process this personal
data?
We process this personal data as necessary to aid the
monitoring of the website. Email addresses are kept
for occasional mailouts.
Do we pass data to third parties?
No. Never.
How is this data safeguarded?
The security of your data is extremely important to
us. Access to your personal data is only provided
to our staff.
How do we let you know if
our policy changes?
Any policy changes, either due to business reasons
or future changes in legislation, will be posted on
this page and, if substantial, will be promoted on
the website or through e-mail notification.
How do you remove your email
address from the database?
The only information that is permanently kept is the
email address you may voluntarily give us. This address
can be removed automatically, by following instructions
on the contact page. If
there is a problem, use the email form on the contact
page to contact us such that we may manually remove
it.
