Variety show entertains the VGCC Senior Citizens Group

The VGCC Senior Citizens group usually meet on Wednesday evenings at the Vauxhall Gardens Community Centre (VGCC) but last week they had something a little bit different in the diary.

Thanks to a grant from the Kennington, Oval and Vauxhall Forum (KOV) that Bingo co-ordinator Bob Henderson won at last September's Vauxhall Expo, the group found themselves in West Norwood for a showtime matinee at Nettlefold Hall. The £500 grant paid for a fantastic variety show by south London regular Tony Arnold and his full troupe. The VGCC regulars were joined by a full house of other groups, who all enjoyed the classic songs along with a cup of tea and biscuits at the interval.

LMHS and VGCC would like to thank Age UK Lambeth for their invaluable help in organising the event, in particular to Kim and Maurice for ensuring everything went without hitch and to Bill for getting the group there and back safely. We would also like to thank Mark and Pedro at Nettlefold Hall for their part in making the day such a success.
